Christmas Tree Cake

Follow my narrated tutorial to create a CHRISTMAS TREE CAKE. This figure is made with edible gum paste and makes a great cake topper.


Pound cake recipe:

2 1/2 c sugar

1 c butter softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

5 large eggs

3 c all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup milk

* heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 loaf pans.

* beat sugar, butter, vanilla, eggs in bowl on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape sides of bowl. Beat on high for 5 minutes, scraping sides occasionally. Beat in flour mixture alternately with milk on low speed, mixing till smooth after each addition. Pour into pans

* Bake about an hour, till center tests clean. Cool 20 minutes, then remove from pans and finish cooling, about 2 hours. Enjoy!
